London producers Saul 'Chase' Milton and Will 'Status' Kennard shot to prominence thanks to 2009's 'End Credits', a collaboration with rapper-cum-blue-eyed soul singer Plan B which was featured in the Michael Caine film Harry Brown. Their second album, No More Idols, will drop later this month, and if the lead single is anything to go by, it could be a hot seller. 'Blind Faith' adds an early '90s saucer-eyed rave feel to the duo's instantly recognisable arena drum 'n' bass shtick, a nice side-step for a sound cornered by Pendulum many moons ago, which should make it popular with post-decadent 20 (or 30-) something revellers. However, the true masterstroke is a dub-heavy verse propelled by Nottingham newcomer Liam Bailey's sad-eyed, soulful Jamaican-patois vocal, sure to be ringing out of student party clubs and Brixton dancehalls alike for the forseeable future.

You Animals give away free EP for Christmas

Derby sextet You Animals are offering a free download EP to anyone who signs up for their mailing list before Christmas day.
The band - whose reliance on instant melodies and a bustling rhythms bring to mind a less plaintive Tokyo Police Club - have recorded leftfield alternate takes of two tracks ('What You Want/What You Need' and 'What A Shame, Lorraine') set to feature on their debut album, which will be released by This Is Fake DIY Records in Spring 2011.
Fans who get over to their website and sign up sharpish will also get a free download of the original version of recent single 'What You Want/What You Need', which you can see below:

French Horn Rebellion Announce New EP and Video

Synth-pop duo French Horn Rebellion have released details of a brand new EP, This Moment, which will be released on 22 November by Once Upon A Time Records.
The EP will feature 'This Moment' as well as new track 'Last Summer', plus remixes of the former track by hip East Village producer Kap10Kurt, amongst others.
There aren't any UK tour dates in the offing at present, but we can only hope.
Here's the video for 'This Moment', which Time Out described as "a disco-tinted patchwork of psychedelic yacht-rock with big pop pretensions." Couldn't have put it better myself.
